YUAN is showcasing its Pandora Developer Hub at COMPUTEX, featuring a highly optimized Yocto-based Linux environment designed to fully unlock the edge AI and generative AI capabilities of the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ NX platform.
By adopting a lightweight, fully customized Yocto-based Linux distribution, the Pandora platform replaces traditional general-purpose desktop Linux systems, significantly reducing system overhead and enabling developers to allocate more CPU, GPU, and memory resources to edge multimodal generative AI workloads, including image-text generation, diffusion model inference, and automated content creation.
Edge execution of diffusion models and generative AI workloads typically requires substantial memory and compute resources. Conventional Linux distributions often include unnecessary background services and graphical components that introduce additional system overhead. YUAN’s Yocto-based Linux system delivers a minimal-footprint environment purpose-built to address this challenge.
Internal benchmarks show that the optimized Yocto system reduces baseline system resource usage by up to 75%, effectively reclaiming memory and compute resources previously consumed by the operating system. These resources can now be fully dedicated to AI inference and generative workloads, enabling faster high-resolution content generation while maintaining low latency and on-device data privacy.
