YUAN Launches Multi-Lens Infrared Stitching Solution, Delivering 90°–720° Panoramic Vision

In recent years, infrared imaging has continued to evolve across various industries, yet mainstream solutions still face two major challenges — limited field of view (FOV) and high system cost.

Most infrared lenses offer only a 60°–90° FOV. Achieving wide or panoramic coverage typically requires fisheye optics or multi-camera stitching, which often introduces distortion, visible seams, and significantly higher module costs.

In robotics, infrared imaging is widely used for environmental perception and obstacle avoidance. However, the narrow single-lens perspective can create detection blind spots, compromising path planning and object recognition stability.

To address these challenges, YUAN introduces an expandable FOV infrared (IR) stitching solution powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB platform. By integrating multiple cameras with proprietary algorithms, the system enables 90°–720° panoramic coverage, flexible camera configurations, and seamless multi-view fusion—enhancing efficiency and accuracy in intelligent monitoring. It is ideal for perimeter security, warehouse surveillance, mobile robotics, low-light environments, as well as UAV inspection, wildfire detection, and public safety operations.

Proprietary Image Processing and Edge Computing

YUAN's in-house algorithm completes the entire stitching process on-device, including geometric distortion correction, seam blending, brightness/gain/black-level normalization, and temporal stability control. This edge-side processing architecture minimizes latency, ensuring consistent and stable multi-camera output—providing a reliable foundation for real-time infrared imaging applications.

Modular and Cost-Effective Architecture

The system integrates Teledyne Flir infrared lenses with Suntek Global SPI-to-UVC modules. Each mini-module (160×120) can be freely combined like building blocks. Developers can align or arrange multiple modules as needed to quickly expand the monitoring FOV.

Supporting plug-and-play (UVC), the system connects directly to existing equipment without complex configuration. This allows developers to rapidly assemble infrared surveillance solutions at different angles, greatly reducing development time.

Compared with traditional high-resolution single-lens solutions, YUAN's “multi-lens × intelligent algorithm” design enables flexible FOV expansion—from 90° to 720° panoramic coverage—while maintaining image clarity and stitching precision.
